It's unfortunate that drag story hours have become such a controversial topic in the United States, but it's not surprising. As much progress as the LGBTQ+ community has made in recent years, there are still plenty of people who are determined to see them fail.
Even in the face of overwhelming opposition, Aaron Reed, also known as the Rock and Roll Humanist, organized an important and eye-opening event in Wadsworth, Ohio. Despite the hate and bigotry that was directed towards him and his family, Aaron remains passionate about his work and is committed to continuing to fight for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.
It's clear that there is still much work to be done in terms of promoting acceptance and tolerance for all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. But with the courage and dedication of people like Aaron, there is hope for a brighter future ahead.
